Having a Grateful Heart Everyday
Many things have made my life better. Every morning and night when I lay in bed, my mind immediately races through all the things I have to be grateful for.
Every day, I choose to focus on ten things, even though I could list all day long the things for which I am grateful.
When I open my eyes and see the sun coming through the cracks in the window, I am filled with gratitude for the new day. The ability to do good deeds for other people is something I am grateful for as I wiggle my toes and extend my fingers. At night, I think about my day.
Encourage yourself to be appreciative.
Random acts of kindness begin with me. I take advantage of the opportunity to wave or complement another motorist while I wait for the light to turn green.
Even though I could probably think of ten new things for which to be grateful every single day, I never miss an opportunity to thank God for my family and the opportunity to live a decent life. To me, life is more meaningful when I am surrounded by caring people. Additionally, I am cognizant of the fact that I am meant to experience love.
Some food for thought. Dedicate yourself to consistently expressing gratitude. Even if I don't see the good fortune in it at first, I promise to be eternally thankful for it. There is a great deal for which I am aware.
Three Questions for Self-Reflection
Does it ever slip my mind to be thankful for everything I have?
Has my appreciation for those in my life been conveyed?
Am I always encouraging people around me to praise God?
